Setup Instructions

Note: The numbers in parentheses refer to the parts indicated in the picture at the bottom of the document.

  1. Take out the slide projector, slide tray and remote. Unwind the power cord from the power cord retainer (24) on the bottom of the slide projector and plug the power cord into an outlet.
  2. Connect the remote to the remote receptacle (22) and place the slide tray onto the slide projector so that it clicks into place.
  3. On the slide tray, unlock and remove the lock ring (2) by rotating it counterclockwise. With the lock ring removed, insert your slides in the slide tray starting in slot 1.
    • Insert slides with the emulsion side (dull side) facing the lens (7) (or counterclockwise) and upside down.
  4. Relock the lock ring.
  5. Turn on the Power (15) to Half Lamp or Full Lamp, depending on your projecting needs.
  6. Adjust the height, zoom and focus of the projection.
    • To adjust height, press the Elevating Foot Release Button (6) and lift the slide projector to the desired height.
    • To adjust zoom, rotate the lens (7) to zoom in and out.
    • To adjust focus, turn the Focus Knob (9) until the projected image is in focus.
  7. Advance the slides via the Reverse and Forward buttons on the projector (13, 14) or on the remote control.
    • For a random slide selection, press and hold the Select bar (11) and rotate the slide tray to the desired slide and release the Select bar.
    • For timed slide advancement, adjust the Timer (12) for slide changes from 3 to 22 seconds. To interrupt the timer, press either the Forward or Reverse button.
Note: This feature is not included on all slide projectors.
  8. When finished, turn off the slide projector using the Power button. Press and hold the Select bar (11) and rotate the slide tray to the 0 (zero) position. Release the Select bar and lift out the slide tray.
  9. Unplug the power cord and remote. Recoil the power cord into the power cord retainer. Remove all of your slides from the slide tray. Put away the slide projector, slide tray and remote.

Troubleshooting

  • The slide tray does not click into place properly. Check to see that the metal plate on the bottom of the slide tray is locked into place. If not, rotate the metal plate around until it locks into place.
  • The slides are projected upside down or flipped. The slides were loaded incorrectly. Turn off the projector, unlock the lock ring and reload the slides correctly (as described in 3a).
  • The slides are automatically advancing. Ensure that the Timer (12) is all the way in the off position.
  • The slide tray is not lifting out. The slide tray is not in the 0 (zero) position. Repeat step number 8. If the slide tray still does not lift out, use the Tray Release Latch (16) to release the slide tray from the projector. Check the slide projector for a slide or some other obstruction that may be lodged in the projector.
