  1. Connect your laptop to the campus network by plugging in the Ethernet cord (if you have wireless, ensure that it is working properly).
  2. Go to START > Control Panel
  3. > Printers and Other Hardware icon.
  4. > Add Printer task.
  5. > Next.
  6. Make sure that the Local Printer button is checked, and that Automatically detect and install my plug and play printer is NOT selected, then > Next
  7. Select the Create a new port bubble, and > Standard TCP/IP Port in the pull down menu, and > Next.
  8. > Next.
  9. In the Printer Name or IP Address box, type LIB018-PRINTER then > Next.
  10. > Finish.
  11. Under Manufacturers, highlight HP, and under Printers, highlight HP LaserJet 4000 Series PCL6, and > Next.
  12. Name the printer Tech Center in the Printer Name box.
  13. Making this printer the default printer is optional, but if you do not make it the default printer, make sure you select the printer manually when you wan to print.
  14. > Do not share the printer, and > Print a test page to make sure that the process worked, and > Next.
  15. > Finish.

  2. Open the Macintosh HD.
  3. Open the Applications folder.
  4. Open the Utilities folder.
  5. Open Print Center
  6. > Add icon.
  7. In the drop down menu at the top select IP Printing.
  8. In the Printer Address text field type LIB018-PRINTER
  9. In the Printer Model drop down menu, select HP.
  10. In the Model Name list, select HP LaserJet 4350. (See Fig. 3)
